I went on 06/23/2026 for a consultation regarding a treatment I was considering. While I didn’t get anything done that day (I had to research my options further), Lily was super informative and thoughtful. She didn’t put me down to try to upsell me on beauty treatments like some other spas do, she also was very thoughtful in her recommendations even if she felt I didn’t need the procedure I was considering. I enjoyed the experience very much and the place was so comfortable. I ended up crying in the parking lot for unrelated, personal reasons and the owner saw me in my car and invited me in. Everyone made me feel so cared for and nurtured which I really, really needed in that moment. I haven’t yet decided what I want to get done as far as the areas of concern, but whatever it is (even a facial) I will happily and eagerly be back here.

Catara is a special place. I got a consultation and a hydra facial and it was great! The owner even sat with me until it was my appointment time. I really appreciated that. Everyone was friendly and I will be going back! Highly recommend!!

Lily was absolutely lovely. After three years of trying different spas downtown Chicago and spending thousands of dollars trying different treatments trying to get rid of my deep nasal labial folds. I’ve waited to have a couple of services before leaving this review. I love this Medspa. I recommend them to everyone in Algonquin. I started with a Hydrofacial which was absolutely amazing. Then I had a couple of micro-needling sessions that I am already starting to see improvement from in my skin. I give Cathy and Genie a 10/10. They always make me feel welcome when I walk through their doors.

My skin is firmer, brighter, and just feels healthier overall. I also did Xeomin injections for some fine lines, and wow—so natural-looking! No frozen face, just a refreshed, more youthful version of myself. Will def be back!

Moved back to Chicago from Las Vegas in December & I was in search for a Medspa in the city. With the help of Socialite Media they put me in touch with CaTara Medspa. First off, loved the location! I’m super fond of the Gold Coast area. When I arrived I was greeted by the extremely sweet owner Cathy, she was so hospitable and is passionate about her business & I completely support that being a business owner myself. They took good precautions for COVID & the spa was very clean & cute! My customized facial was with Loren, who was very knowledgeable about skin and advised me to take on a new regimen (which I’ve been wanting to do). I had a great experience at their spa & look forward to going again! Post facial I woke up with glowing and clear skin! I love my new products from their line and it’s been almost a week.
