Unit prices are only comparable within the same product. The FDA labels for Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify each state that their units cannot be compared to or converted into units of another botulinum toxin product.
What changes your quote:
- Number of units: set by your injector for each area and your muscle strength. Forehead lines, frown lines ('11 lines'), crow's feet, a lip flip, a gummy smile, the masseters, and neck bands are each dosed separately.
- Product: Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify are priced separately, so compare per-unit prices only for the same product.
- Pricing model: per unit, per area, or per session. Ask how many units an area or session price includes.
- Offers and memberships: ask whether the rate is a new-patient, membership, or package price, and what the regular per-unit rate is.
- Follow-up: ask whether a check at about two weeks is included and whether added units cost extra.

Does insurance cover Botox in Chicago?
